woohhhooo!
The looongg weekend was well-spent! =) Looong entry, beware.
Saturday Had a surprise in store for Jan babies(Maria and Rad). Bought balloons and doughnuts at Le Meridien because PS doesn't have a doughnut stall. Reached there and started blowing the balloons and decorate the place. Shu and Azrie were there as well helping me, Fana and Shahrul. When Nozie reached with Maria and Rad, they didn't notice the balloons sia! WTH! Haha funny. Guess dah semangat nak main netball, again. So once again, the netball session at Kallang. I think I'm falling in love with netball more than soccer. They should air netball matches on TV already man! Haha ok right. I still love football more although netball costs lesser. Hehe. This time, there were bibs. Thanks to Maria. So everything was organised. Who were the last ones to reach? You are right. The guy who needs his beauty sleep, and his wife. Lol. I think the session went pretty well. I could see that everyone had fun. But the news given by Maria about the Beach Netball session was -_-. So we might not take part after all. But I am sooo excited and charged up for the competition sehh. =( Then we sabo-ed Rad with water bombs and flour! Haha. Maria was lucky to escape though. But the best part was when my brother sabo-ed himself! He wanted to press the water out of the plastic but instead the water oozed out onto him instead. Wahahaha! After washing up, we celebrated the Jan babies' birthdays with candles on the 2 boxes of doughnuts. Cool huh. Nozie made them wear the birthday hats all the way to Marina Square, where we had our dinner. Went to play pool soon after and headed home after that. Oh thanks Maria for paying the netball court! On your birthday lagi. Oh wells, since dah dapat 1 *ehem* *ehem* for hong bao, bole blanja kan? Hehe. Sunday It was just a chill-out session at Fana's house, uploading pics, watching our favourite movies on ch 5 like Rush Hour 2 and 13 Going on 30. Haha. 13 Going On 30 was our FIRST movie date back in Spetember 2004. Hehe. Goes a long way back man. Cerita pun dah keluar air liuh basi agaknye. Lol. Monday 1st day of Chinese New Year. Where else can we go? JB lor. Ingat pegi JB banyak kedai bukak ar, tapi padehal, padehal. Dang! We went to Tebrau City's JUSCO. We thought the bus to go there was only at Larkin. Ape lagi, semangat babat ar naik 170 pegi Larkin. In the endwent to Larkin, penat2 carik bus, boarded the bus, the bus punye kurang ajar went pass City Square jugak! Haha! Funny! The bus like went one big round! Since most shops were closed, we movie marathon-ed. Underworld was great! I still have not seen the first edition of the movie. The movie Maut was not scary at all as I'd first thought. We had Kenny Rogers for lunch and then we ate at a new place called Manhattan Fish Market for dinner! The fish was, in terms of Nozie, emmmm marvellous. Haha. It was really delicious. I'm happy I got to try out the new eating places. Also tried out Bread Talk in between the movies. Hehe. Shahrul said Ahmad NISFU as Ahmad NIPPU at Kenny Rogers. Wahahahaha! Terthathul(say it with the "S" pelat) abis! Oh at first before we watched Underworld, the place was *krik krik*. After the movie, the line for movie dah macam nak amik free gift seh! Haha. The journey back to City Square was the funniest of them all! We were too bored so we acted like small kids in the bus. Acting like bus drivers and swaying left and right when the bus is turning. It indescribable! Haha. Drop by City Square, bought some DVDs and games and back home. It helps that there wasn't any human jam at both checkpoints. But the stupid new JB checkpoint has a lot of bodoh turns. And it is far from City Square. Sheessh. Malaysia Boleh kebabai dier. Daripada dulu masih tak boleh jugak. Yang diorang boleh, saman and rompak Singaporeans. Sleng betul. Tuesday Last minute plan to hang out with my precious gf at Marina Barrage. Cool open space. We stayed there for about 2 hours man! There were quite alot of people. Alot of Malays "camping" and bringing lots of food, typical Malay-style. Haha. And on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, there was alot of Chinese too. Like, go and celebrate your festive season lahhhh. Dahlah tak pakai cium asam and syam poo, ni nak kacau orang bangsa2 lain lepak and chill lak. But there were some spectacular views. But we didnt stay until night though. Heard that it has nicer views at night. But oh wells. We went home around 6plus. Lets go there sometime, gang! So much for a weekend, ain't it? But just ONE thing. Its already bad enough that most shops are closed during Chinese New Year. Even HALAL eating places like Banquet, Food Culture and so on are closed(Tapi Sakae Sushi bukak pulak. Tak paham, tak paham.). Why can't the Chinese eat at home sehhh...Like cook for the family ALA during the Malay festive season. Do you see us eating at McDonalds or Burger King or LJS during our 2nd day of raya? Or shopping around during the first week of raya? Their festive season is not festive at all, to me at least. is it just giving Mandarin oranges and having reunion dinners? I mean they don't wear their traditional costumes. Heck, some of them don't even wear RED at all. Now, I think they don't even do their visiting too. Why not donate their 1 extra day of Public Holiday to Hari Raya instead? I'm sure we WILL appreciate that extra day to do our visiting. If only Hari Raya has 2 straight public holidays straight. Wouldn't that be nice? All the makciks2 and pakciks2 and budaks2 will jump for joy! Sigh. I'm waiting for pictures from Fana and Nozie and whoever that took pictures. =) Hidanilson Out. . . |
