being economical
Ways to help me through the economic downturn turmoil:
1) Bring more food from home. As I pay quite an amount for the rental of my room, I think it is only fair that I 2) Claim transport fees when going meetings/CPR programmes. I used to not claim for the public transport fees(except taxis) but since there is no increment after confirmation, to hell with that man! Every cent counts! There was once when I claimed $5.63 and they gave me the 3 cents too. How cool is that! 3) Less spending unless necessary or when in need of some exercises/entertainments. Maria, you should heed this advice too. Heehee. Like when my converse bag was spoilt. I just bought another one. And I swear that is the first REAL bag I bought for myself in dono how many donkey, monkey, b*bi years. Haha. 4) Eat cheap food! I always try to look for bargains when it comes to eating lunch/dinner. Unless there are some special days to eat something nice once in a while. Banmian at Causeway point rock my socks! Its only $3.40(if you have the banquet card). O.R. fillet burger meal also cheap! Comes with a drink and fries/whipped potato for 10 cents less! You can also try double cheese or mcchicken. But of course, fast food ain't healthy. So go Banmian! Even Yong Tau Foo is expensive nowadays. 60cents per piece? Go and die lah. Aku beli hotdog satu packet boil sendiri lagi mulia. Sheesshhh! But as long as you go vege, things will be cheap. =) 5) Cut hair ONLY once a month. Or maybe ONCE every 2 months? No? Or maybe not cut at all and let it grow long like Ramli Sarip? Haha. Usually I get it cut within 2 or 3 weeks. 6) Look out for 10%/20%/30% or whatever percent discounts when it comes to buying necessities. But hell no am I buying Crocokids as my undergarments! Lol! These are only some of the ways that I can do to help myself through this economic climate. I hope it'll help those who are reading this entry. Whether I'm sticking to it or not, is a different matter altogether. Lol. Anyway, another sad news surfaced recently. A 12 year old boy, collapsed suddenly after a game of badminton. The cause is still not known but most probably, it is due to sudden cardiac arrest. As far as my 10 second of fame in one of my previous entires is concerned, CPR is getting more and more important. That boy was stated as fit and always has a gold for his NAPFA. But even when fit, things as sudden as this can happen. And I don't understand why schools still don't want to adopt this CPR 3A Programme. I understand the economic crisis but payment is through their Edusave. For a programme that cost $20, it is not taken much from the Edusave. Even after I used my Edusave for my overseas trip in sec sch, I still have a couple of hundred left after my poly days. I guess when reality happens in these schools, only will these principals realise that it is important to learn AT LEAST the basic core skills of CPR. Hidanilson Out. . . |
