miss those times...
During this festive season, the one thing I'm not looking forward to is when I have to decide which side to follow. My mum or my dad? Its difficult to choose because if I follow one side, the other will complain and vice versa. But I'm trying my best to divide my time in this tight schedule of mine until the end of this month at least. Now that my dad's living in JB, its not making things any better. I miss those times when I don't have to choose because both are together.
My sister is quite a rare breed. How she can visit my dad's siblings but not my dad himself, really puzzles me. Like whats the point seh. It wasn't my dad siblings who brought her up. It was both my mum and my dad. Although I know my mum puts in more effort than my dad. Not sensible at all lor. Anyway, I also miss those times when I jalan raya during the school days. Its not all about the money. Its about freedom. Because we know we will have the time on weekends to jalan raya. No work commitments. No shift work. Just discuss the date among friends, and voila! Date, time are all agreed. And easier to contact since everyone is in school. If it was the school holidays, its even better. We could even afford to plan raya outings on weekdays! But now, its not that easy anymore. You'll have to contact them through sms, email, letters etc. If they reply, then great! If not, you'll have to wait macam buah *ehem* tak jatuh. Some, *krik krik* abis. Agaknye tangan berat sangat nak reply. Use email, free some more. No need to waste SMS also don't want to reply. No comments ar. Do you notice that as we get older, we have to plan our raya outings carefully and nicely according to our schedule? In primary school, it was only primary school and only a set of friends. After we reach secondary school, its 2 sets. After secondary school, its polytechnic. In polytechnic, there's CCA. By the time we reach poly, there's 4 sets of friends. Then there's the occasional outside classes like religious class or for guys' instance, NS friends. In NS, there's already SISPEC and UNIT cohorts. For me, thats a total of 7 to 8 sets of friends to jalan raya with! And how many weekends are there in a month? EIGHT. Not enough to jalan raya with all of them. Usually first week or even 2nd week are still family outings. Sad right? Therefore, I'm sorry if I can't join any raya outings that my friends have planned. And so, yesterday was our 44th month. 4 more months and its 4 years. Wow, thats alot of 4. Haha. Thanks for everything wak. Remember to always look back upon the good times k? =) Hidanilson Out . . . |
