2 houses only?
Yesterday was the least number of houses we visited in 1 day. And I'm not procastinating. The day started with my baju kurung not ready yet. It was 11am when my baju kurung was ready to be collected and my mum duly obliged. She came back home at around 1.30pm and we started eating as a family. It was followed by ironing of the clothes and changing. And then my sister took a looooong time to make up and get changed(????!!!!). Haha. By the time we went out its past 4pm. Very late lor.
Hmmm how I miss eating lontong, rendang, kuah lodeh, ayam masak merah and whatnots. Its heaven! I think the button on my pants almost burst at the end of the day! Lol. So we reached headquarters at 4.45pm and left there at 6.15 to visit other elderly houses. After 2 houses, it was done. I was like huh? 2 house only? Tempah baju penat2, mahal2, den pegi 2 rumah je. Pakai baju kurung tak sampai setengah hari. Buat suspense seh. Haha. At 11, they went back to headquarters to munch more food. This year, the questions lashed at me were pretty interesting. As you know, both my elder siblings are married. So they asked when's my turn. Not so soon of course. Slow and steady. Another question is of course, where I am working now. And when I told them its Singapore Heart Foundation, they'll give this *krik krik* look and then burst into a cheeky little smile and to one of my uncle, a loud laugh. Like, what's wrong with that sia?! At least I'm working what. It isn't my long time career anyway. These uncles and aunties don't understand sia. Another interesting question is, "Knape abg kau kahwin muda2?" with a puzzling look. I just said, "Entah. Jodoh entah ke mana kate orang." Its what usually the elderly say mah. I'm just heeding their advice. I know 24 might be a young age, but still, people don't know the problems internally and the reasons behind marriage. And it ain't a sudden thing. Then those who are married when they are 19 or 20 considered what? It isn't even a planned marriage in the first place. Shotgun marriage as they say. So, what the hell right? Anyway, so yeap. 1 whole day, 2 houses visited, 3 interesting questions, 4 meals I ate. Ok last one is useless info. And.... Work today. Oh great. The wonders of life. |
