bilingual? but its always english and MANDARIN....
As I have officially ORD, I have been looking for job opportunities recently.
And most of the advertisements state that we need to be bilingual. And I thought to myself, "Eh, I am bilingual right? Can speak Malay and English. Oklah, canlah." But as I read on, I was flushed with disappointment. Its bilingual in CHINESE and English. Like what the hell? Might as well not have racial harmony day. If the customers cannot speak english, its not my problem. If they can't understand English, might as well don't do any business. Can forget about making deals with other companies. Don't tell me they didn't go to school and learn English? They can't be that stupid to not even understand and talk English right? How about Malay-speaking customers? How is the company going to survive then? I believe that English should be a universal language. A language where everybody can communicate each other. So that there's no discrimination when it comes to job opportunities. No favouritism. So what now? I have to take mandarin lessons and excel in it just to widen my job opportunities? Like a quote from LIAR LIAR, "Yeah, in ur bra!". Haha. Speaking of that, Liar Liar has one of my favourite end credits. Its just funny. To me. Haha. Hidanilson Out. . . . |
