i never thot this would be better
7 months ago, as I passed out from ASLC parade to hold the responsibility of 3 stripes on my uniform, I was nervous.
As my platoon gathered to nailbitingly listen to our postings, I was hoping I would go to Tekong to become just an instructor.
Because I don't prefer Unit life.

But as I looked upon my life now, I'm actually quite blessed.

First of all, Tekong is damn far from where I live.
Woodlands to Pasir Ris??
1 hour.
Pasir Ris to Tekong??
30 minutes.
Not worth the trip I should say.

Secondly, its near my supergirl's place too.
Yew Tee and Yio Chu Kang is just 25 minutes and 13 seconds away by patronizing our very own SMRT.
And her school that she's teaching in is not far off either.
Meeting my muffin will not be a hassle at all.
=)

Thirdly, the bond the commanders and the fellow men share.
You see, we(the 3SGs) passed out on the same date and was posted to the same unit.
We know each other very well.
And the men, unlike BMT, will stay with us until we ORD.
If I was at BMTC, every 3 months there will be a new batch of recruits.
And to repeat to them the basics of military training every batch is tiring.
My tongue will be engulfed with saliva all over.
It is like teaching in a secondary or pirmary school.
Just imagine teaching the same thing every 3 months?
Won't it be tiring??
Its already monotonous enough to teach the same thing every year.
Heheh.

And unit life is a 5 days-a-week life.
So in a way there's pros and cons.
I'm beginning to settle into unit life pretty well.
Although it has taken me a few months to do so.
But what the heck right?
Lol.

Weekend duties still sucks though.

And I hope for the next 7 months, I won't sign any extras.
