IVP Champions!!
Things are back to normal again.
Yey! =) Anyway, I've been going to the recently concluded Silat Inter-Varsity Polytechnic Competition. And my word, it was a very satusfying one. Unlike last year where I had to miss most of the action cos I was already enlisted by then, this year I kind of witnessed most of the action. Except the seni part. Sparrings after sparrings. Matches after matches. Lots of intense excitement. The cheers kept going for every school. Mostly from NTU, NUS, RP and of course, my ex-school, NYP. The seni team did very well with 3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze. The olahraga team fared no less with 3 golds, 3 silvers and 4 bronzes. We won the trophy for both seni and olahraga. And that made us overall champions AGAIN! We had a clean sweep of all the trophies. Woohoo! There are alot of people who did very well in this competition. My PSF, Azlina, won 2 matches and went into the semi-finals putting up a good fight with our very own Shu. But she blacked out just after the match. Hope she's doing fine too. Shu is a much better pesilat now, having exceeded expectations by getting into the final. She lost with great pride. Izzi and Aisyah, 1st timers in silat, did well with their ganda. For starters, they had a bronze medal. I'm sure they'll progress further if they take part again next year. Dani, silver for Tunggal? Thats fantabulous. Keep going girl! Fauzi at last went into the finals and put up a good fight with one of the best in the business, Yazid. Good job! As for the champions, Syaheed, Aini, Hadi and all the seni putera, congrats man! You've made the NYP Silat Team proud! But one thing sad about this is I've graduated. Its great to have this championship feeling if I had took part in this competition. Don't get me wrong, its still a great feeling, but its not quite the same. Last year, my captain's role was dethorned just like that as I was enlisted. I couldn't take part. I couldn't even watch them regain the championship. It was heartwrenching. But this year, at least I could give them support and even be the cornerman a couple of times. But just being part of this team brings me sentimental values. They are a great, happy bunch. All their hard work has paid off. Well done, NYP Silat. And to the supporters too, thanks for coming. Radiyah, Nozie, my bro, Sri, Arafah, Firdaus, Ipin and all those who just joined the NYP Silat family. Without you guys, the support would be very different. And not forgetting the great Fanahana. For her presence there. Thanks for the couple of surprises too. Nampaknye u dah up sikit ehhhh. Thats like 3 times in 1 week. Hehe. =) Love you. Okay then. Thats it. Hidanilson Out...... |
